Is divorcing biblically correct?

Answer is No:  ( caution: The Bible should be interpreted on the whole context and not by excerpt)

Jesus said “Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the beginning. It can be understood impeccably if we would have read the bible on the whole context. when they ask Jesus: Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law? And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment.  And a second is like it, you shall love your neighbor as yourself.  On these two commandments depend all the law and the prophets.”

So paraphrasing the above passage, one cannot serve Christ or love if he divorces his wife/husband for the sake of adultery, whilst it has been said in Matthew 5:32 because of immorality/sexual impurity. Yet one has to understood the above said passage and we also read in Hosea, where the lord ask Hosea to marry a prostitute and he questioned back the lord about marrying a prostitute and the society impending questions, the lord’s response was - didn’t I forgive your sins and accepted you back. Even Jeremiah goes on saying the same in 3rd chapter. Though you’ve lived as a prostitute would you now return to me?

But if you are divorcing him/her then you cause them to be the victim of prostitution when they get married to another, furthermore it can be said that there is no genuine love in the person who divorces.

 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that?  And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that. Bless those who curse you and love your enemies. Think of then, how much more you should love your spouse when we are to love our enemies too.

Having said the above if you are really living a Christ centered life you will start loving even the prostitutes, in old testament one would fall under the transgression of law only when he commits adultery physically but in new testament the bar/standard is raised as he would be the victim of sin when he/she lust after it, so no human knows what is loitering in human hearts, however the lord knew it. Yet his hand is stretched and asking us to repent and come for reconciliation and never sin any more. So we come to his throne by grace and not by our works.

Furthermore it is also said that we need to give account of each and every single word spoken against men, so remember your wedding vows that you committed to love your spouse under all circumstances ( does not exclude anything and it is unconditional though)

So, even if you find your spouse defiled, do not divorce him/her or forsake, but love them with all of your heart, so that the lord would help to bring the soul back to reconciliation.

Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.

Tips to overcome Masturbating

• Keep yourself busy (like listening to devotional songs, etc..)
• Do not sit Idle.
• Do not sit Lonely.
• Go for a quick walk outside whenever you get tempted.
• Always make yourself visible to your neighbors living around you.
• Have the habit of reading Bible daily, no matter Satan accuse of having sinned against God.
• Every resistance over temptation is a victory.
• Keeping coming back to God and confess every time.
• Confess and repent and do not sin anymore.
• Due to the weakness you may fall again in sin and later you would realize for the bad, however do not worry or stay in guilt, rather come to the presence of god with Cry and pardon for mercy.
• Some may struggle for days and months and even years, yet come back to lord and do not give up under any circumstances.
• The accuser will keep accusing you and say you are not worth an iota to go back for pardon of mercy to god. So do not heed to his voice.
• If you keep sinning again and again, then you need a strong fellowship, Bible reading and a Must prayer on mundane basis.
• Dilution in prayer life, Bible reading and fellowship will cause you to sin, fading away from vision and much more.

Masturbating

Apparently every one conscience pokes them whenever they get indulge in masturbating. I would accept this fact even if I hadn’t born as a Christian. One cannot truly say that this never bothers them or troubles them whenever they are in the act of doing it. For the sake of argument some may say it never poke them or can say not wrong. 

If the Devil cannot make you bad it will keep you busy ( Corrie ten boom) and one act is getting us indulged in self-pleasure which is masturbating and it draws its pleasure virtually either from a stored captivating lustful pictures or scenes, videos etc,,

Around 5000 BC there lived a man called Judah who is one among the 12 tribes came from Jacob. Judah had 3 sons and the elder son was dead and his wife was widowed, so Judah advised his second son Onan to give offspring to his elder brother wife. But Onan knew that the child would not be his; so whenever he slept with his brother’s wife, he spilled his semen on the ground to keep from providing offspring for his brother. What he did was wicked in the Lord’s sight; so the Lord put him to death also. Gen 38: 8,9. 

Here the lord punished him for his intention first and then for the act of disobedience. if he wouldn't want to provide a off spring he could have told his father and his brother wife for his disagreement to provide offspring, rather he sought pleasure from his brother wife. Always from Old Testament to New Testament our lord was looking after everyone intention which is our heart. Besides we read in Roman 6: 13- Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness.  Needless to say that the same hand which masturbate are the one used to pray to GOD.

Masturbating is SIN, so stay away and flee from evil desires.

கண்ணு போட்ரும் - upon Evil eyes.

I was in a hospital taking care of my wife who gave birth a daughter and I was taking photographs and sending my daughter photograph to my close friends and relatives. My parents and relatives said, do not take photograph and share it with everyone because it would affect the baby’s health. In the language tamil they call it as 

Kannu-potrum (கண்ணு போட்ரும்).

(கண்ணு போட்ரும்) -It means the evil eyes will be upon the baby and it would affect the baby’s health, when I asked my parents and relatives what would it do, in turn they attacked me with the question do you believe in ghost, I said yes, then they said which means evil eyes will be upon the baby. Then I questioned back the questioner (parents) why would you so fearful of evil than the Grace, of course Grace is more and more powerful than the Evil, so if am a believer Jesus Christ, I no longer live under the Law but under the Grace.Rom 6:14. And also we read in ephesians we are saved by grace through faith and not by ourselves. It is the gift of god.  It really puzzled me - why are we so much afraid of evil than believing in Grace with reverence.

Grace covers all and for sure my Baby would be protected. Amen!
